mamba maxx

ok so this is the speed controll i have decided on, for 14 cells can i just disable the bec and run a reciever pack or do i have to use a ubec??? if i do can someone give me a link to a cheap one that works and how to wire it to where???? and im going back to a fiegao 8xl because i have got into racing on road so money went to that but this has got to get done because if i dont it will be this way for another year lol but i want it done unlike that mini zilla lol

Yeah you can run it on the reciever pack, I did mine that way today to find out if the BEC (12 cells)was giving me trouble. I'm going UBEC but reciever packs work as well, just remember to pull the middle wire first

There is a guy on here that runs a mamba max/8XL with 14 cells and no trouble. It steps outside of the warranty, but works for him. I may try more cells later but satisfied for now

yes thats finnester (spelling?) and he runs a ubec not a reciver pack so is there a difference or is it the fact of the added wieght of the pack vrs a light ubec?

crazyjr 10.30.2006 11:30 PM

Not that i'm aware of, except you got to charge the pack
