racer x super shock kit

What kinda of oil do u guys recommend for this kit my trucks an emaxx w/ low cg and ill be racing with it.

that depends on the weight of the truck and which springs you are running.....this what I run...
60,000 weight in all four shocks.....blue springs in the rear and red in the front....spring preload set by about 6-8 threads down and the shocks are in the farthest inward position and the farthest pount out on the arms.......

How about showing us your truck, my friend?

Since its a racing truck, I believe its a tough one.

sjcrss 11.01.2006 10:31 AM

I would love to show you it, but my digital camera crapped out on me...I just need to buy a new one......but I really can't show it..........but as soon as I get one I can post pics...

60000 is relative thick for a shock?

sjcrss 11.01.2006 01:03 PM

I know...once i get it all back together and start racing more....and I see how hte slipperential makes it handle...I might go down in weight...but I have to see once it is all together

I used 4 racer x shocks on my truck. 2 red springs in the front & 2 blue springs in the back. I used 60 weight oil , i really liked it.

sjcrss 11.01.2006 06:46 PM

that's what I'm running now...but I want to see how it handles with the slipperential and all...before I make any adjustments

how do upload pics

captain harlock 11.02.2006 06:55 AM

Go to Manage Attachements and click it. A new page will open and you have three spaces for pics downloadable from your own files and three spaces for pics or videos downloaded from any URLs on the net.
If you always type in the Quick Reply zone, you have to click the Go Advanced button and then in the new page scroll down untill you see the Manage Attachements button and click it.

I use 60 all the way around with blue springs all the way around. It really depends on the weight of your truck and what suspension you run. If you are a basher and have a heavier truck, then I would go 60 and blue in the front, and 70 black in the rear
