shood i get these?
hey guys,
i'm thinking of getting them FLM hybrid bulks that use 1/8 diffs for my emaxx....would the diffs from a hyper 7 fit? and also will the ratio be the same as my stock maxx diffs? or would i need to gear up or down on pinion tooth count? i'm not using insane BL power..just the regular HV....so i figure the 1/8 diffs would laugh at the power put out by 4400 motor...haha. initially though of just getting reg alu bulkheads to replace the stock plastic ones, but i know that my stock maxx diffs will die eventually, so buying a hopup alu diff and alu bulkheads and alu diff cases starts to add up....i can get a pair of 1/8 diffs fairly cheap thats why i'm considering the hybrid bulks... any words of advice before i click "add to cart"? |

Well, i am not sure if the Hyper 7 diffs will fit, most likely they will. I know the ratio of them is 3.31:1 as where stock maxx is 2.85:1. You will have to use a larger pinion to compensate........... Bye:018: |
I am not sure on the hyper 7 either. The ofna works I do know. I have used ue as well in them. They was a great bulks.

thanks for the input guys...
i take it that there's no "fitting" issues with these bulks? everything drops in nice and snug? or do they require a lot of shimming for the 1/8 diffs to fit? |
I use the Hybrids with the UE 8 spiders and no shimming req'd. Dropped right in.

Leroy, Hyper 7 diffs should fit...Since it is the OFNA Hyper 7...Not to mention, I believe the UE diffs are pretty much the same thing as Hyper 7's. About like the UE shocks...

The Hyper 7's I are 1/8th diffs and should fit the Hybrid bulks.
