Neu 1515 1y and 5S
 

Who is running the 1y with 5s lipos? I'm thinking about making the shift to 5s to lower amp draw and consequently lower ESC temps. Is 5S too hot for the neu? According to Brian's speed calculator, I'd be doing about 38-40 mph on 5S with my 13/52 geared BPP LSP.

I'm currently running dual 4S 4000mah maxxamps packs in parallel. Do you think I could get away with a single 5S 4000mah pack with the new 20C maxxamps cells?

I've have not had any problems with my setup.

Hey riceman, do you have a wattmeter to measure your amp draw?

You can use 5s on the 1515 1/y and should be fine. The temps will go up a tad but you should be fine. You'll be pushing close to 48 mph

If you are using a Mamba, not sure

I do not have one. I would imagine my Mamba Max would let go before the motor would. But so far so good even hooking up 5S 8000mah. You should be fine with the 4000mah
