Does the Gorilla Chassis really help for jumping cause wondering If I should get the roll cage.

i would stay away from all the lightweght tranny stuff made by traxxas....it is worthless and breaks alot easier than the stock stuff

I agree on that. I had them. I wrung the out put shaft off. Didn't have a great
deal of power. The top input shaft with steel idlers was ate up. I had to clean the trans out then. If you run stock titans and plastic idlers you should
be ok though.

it would include FLM bulks instead of the traxxas ones (the traxxas ones are from molded aluminum, while the FLM's are from billet aluminum.. (waaay better imo)

And there are two (lighter) alternatives to the proline powerstrokes;

UE supermaxx shocks
Traxxas big-bire shocks with RPM pistons. (they are G R E A T once tuned right!!)

3.3 shafts/RPM arms are a nice, tough and relative cheap alternative. They are better for both bashing and racing. (tougher and lighter than aluminum)


Titanium hingepins are only a few bucks more expensive than the steel ones you listed.

I too would avoid the lightweight in/output. FIY, the lightweight input shaft comes with the lightweight idler pins.

RPM (all the arms and shocktowers) is better than that cheap Fastrax stuff. Cheaper to, with the money saved I would consider a singlespeed and slipper clutch. Also the GA 3mm Titanium skids are VERY nice, really solid, I still havn't damaged mine where as cheap aluminium skids bend like rubber on impact.

If you practice getting used to your truck and learn how to control it in the air, you shouldn't need a roll cage, they are uncommon, a GorillaMaxx out weighs a roll cage with benefits.

3mm is over kill IMO on the skid. 2mm will do just fine. But otherwise I agree with all opinons listed and would only be repeating.

No arguement there. Just why add the extra weight? To each their own I guess. I have yet to bend a 2mm ti skid though, and they are durable plus lighter. But if 3mm is preferred, then go with that.:027:

Well I need the FLM Skids cause I got a Traxxas Wheelie Bar. I wouldn't need the RPM Shocktowers if I went with List A, and I already got the rear bulkhead so I wouldnt change that.

You cold sell that rear bulk and get something better?
