fieago motors?

one of my friends is going to get a 3.3 maxx and i have my e revo and i want to make shure mine is faster lol, so could i use a 7xl with 14 or 15 cells on a mm with a reciver pack? can i get links to a good fan that will keep my electronics under a good temp that wont ruin anything? and i will ony run one pack at a time never packs after pack? or is what i want not realistic? if not what motor, cell count, and the mamba maxx because i have one, will give me in the 40 to 47 mph range so its colse or i win:D :018:

It all depends on your gearing. Check brians speed calculator out for speed, gear and motor combos (sticky at the top of this forum).

If you keep wheels down. You will dog a nitro off the line. He will have to play catch up.

i know off the line but i want to beat him with everything lol relly rub it in

16 good cells on a 7XL is rapid. That T-Maxx will be served on a plate to you. :)

im using a mamba maxx i cant do more than 15 cells, witch will be elite 4500, there chart says there better than ib so im going to give them a try

Buy a UBEC in the rcmonster store. That will let you run more cells.

BrianG 11.26.2006 07:15 PM

You really should be using a UBEC for anything more than 6-7 cells for best performance. I know that you can run more cells with the built-in BEC, but why heat up the ESC more than you have to?

Some do not need them. a friend of mine ran a maxx with a bk 9920 and feigao 8l and temps were fine.

I ran my racebomb decked out with everthing supermaxx, on a 7xl with 14 cells . I was keeping up with 1/8 buggys & truggys & betting alot of them. I tried it on 16 cells & it was super sick fast , to fast to control.

well thanks guy, but i am thinking of waiting for the monster maxx to come out now lol all this to make this work lol it seems better to wait and have a more reliable setup, plus my e revo needs parts and i dont want to but them right now, but i dont know i may but BIG thanks guys everyone one here is sooo helpful

Some of that depends on the current draw of the BEC. If you only pull 500mA, then a linear BEC is fine. But if you have a high torque servos (and do a lot of turning), fans, etc, then things heat up quick.
