9920 Question

With the BK 9920 Can I run my Apachee 5s 18.5v pak? I believe the BK is 99amps.
Thanks Mark

You can, but you should use a LVC...

And yes, the 9920 is good for 99A and the equivalent of 20 cells (rated at 1.2v each). So 5s will be fine.

Interesting...now I see why it is called the 9920. Thanks!

The other BK ESC models follow the same convention...

OHH! i didnt know that. But wait! does the 9918 mean only 18 cells?!?!?! I thought it was just an older verision!

phildogg 12.02.2006 05:52 PM

yeah 9918 = 99amps and 18cells.

The 9918 is an older version rated for 18cells.
They upgraded the rating to 20 on newer versions.

No, the 9918 can take 20 cells as well. it's the very same controller, only using a different label. The only thing changed over time is the BEC; for use on lower voltages (such as 6 cells)

So the 9918 and the 9920 are the same escs.

BK just relabeled them..

One other thing to note is.....this
warrior series controller's have amp designation first...examples 9920, 12020
while the Micro series controllers have the cell designation first...
example....2095, 20120

Serum 12.03.2006 05:48 AM

Dead accurate... :p

Schulze uses the cell rating before the current; 18.97. while MGM uses current before cellcount; 16024
