carbon fiber battery straps

Does anyone who has the carbonfiber battery straps (Made by GorillaMaxx) know the distance(amount od space) between the bottom side of the strap and the chassis. Also do you think the team orion 4800 will fit snugly onto these battery straps with no movement(without using the cell adapter just the flat side). And If it wont fit is the gap small enough to put a piece of foam (thicker than stock foam that comes with the g-maxx pads) on the bottom of the graphite strap to make a snug fit. Thanks for your replies.

You can adjust the height.

But...

They are not made for flat batteries, because the braces that sits in them give them the strength they needed.

i know they are not made for them but i figured i could lower them until they fit tight and they would just be pressing agenst them so the support would not matter. would this not work. (-Was is just my computer or was this site down todaay-)

When you purchase through the store, that is included.

so when you purchase through the store you pay shipping and tax

I don't think you have to pay tax if you don't live in NY.

Really guys what do you think will it work it would seem like it would because with the right amount of foam and adjustment it should fit snug without straining the carbon fiber braces because it will sit flush with the battery because it is flat. (Serum if it is flush with the battery the braces are not needed and it seems it wound be the top of the graphite strap against the flat battery so there does not seem to be strained (flat surface pressing against flat surface allowing the pressure to hold the batteries in place) am i right or it just totally wont work if so thats cool just tell me. Thanks for your opinions)

So they won't be strong enough rene?

Serum 12.09.2006 12:22 PM

No, it's only 3mm thick, they will turn out pretty round, since the lipo cells are about the size of a 6 cell.

Ok that all makes sense to me.
What if you make some out of thicker cf.
