baja 5b bl

lol ok so i want a baja but there gas and we all know that thats the wrong way so, what kind of motor would it put in there?? how many cells?? lol it NEEDS to pull wheelies lol NEEDS to lol??????? i dont think they would really be very heavy without the motor and all that as when i go and i see them in my lhs there all back heavy, and i have a go ped and thats the wieght of it also.....

so what do u guys think??? would it be a good idea??? or just stupid? and be honest:018:

hmmm, I wanted to get one of those and convert it to brushless too. The front part of the chassis is perfect for a bunch of batteries.

As for the motor, the thing would still be heavy, and big heavy tires, long.... i would think you would need a 20xx motor at least, maybe a 30xx?

It would be working the motor pretty high load constantly, so you prob want a larger, over sized motor.

It would also be nice to use A123's in that kind of setup, as that many batteries would take a long time to charge. You could charge with the proper charging setup in maybe 1 to 1.5 hours. That would be with a decent PSU unit.

Just my thoughts...

A 1950 would do well. They have got quite some torque.

a 2240/2250 would be an awesome choice imo.

the 30 series are plain redicilous. useless. You can put 24 cells on the 2240 and have got plenty of power. with the right controller you can go to 30-36 cells on the 2240.

Remember it is a 2wd and will be uncontrolable with too much torque.

can i get some links???????????????

and if i can get it to the point of uncontrollable i will be even more happy lmao!!!!! and i would like to use a123 cells and run them for voltage so that wouldnt be a problem, u dont think a neu?? or they dont make them big ehough?????? and the 30series rediculous is what i want lol im shure it comes with one hell of a price tag but thats ok i guess lol i will have to try and find them on e bay for a lil bit cheaper....

First off, you won't find a 30xx motor on Ebay. The chances are slim to none. And second, one question mark is enough...

BlackedOutREVO 12.18.2006 06:14 PM

who cares if i use more than one question mark? hmmmm

and where am i going to find a motor for this?

Mike.L 12.18.2006 07:27 PM

if you really want to go ahed with this, Like serum said the 1950 would work well or something a bit higher, you can shoot mike an e-mail.

BlackedOutREVO 12.18.2006 07:29 PM

yeh i will, what his e mail?

Mike.L 12.18.2006 07:32 PM

you can find it on the rcm store.

Sylvester 12.18.2006 07:42 PM

Should be one hell of a project. IMO id use a 2250 on 24 cells as serum suggested.

Mikes email is rcmonstermike@gmail.com

Show pics as you proggress as ive always wanted to see a bl Baja 5B.

Mike.L 12.18.2006 07:50 PM

yeah, going to be something eh?

BP-Revo 12.18.2006 08:10 PM

I'd personally use the new Maxamp 10000mah lipo packs. They are larger than normal packs, but they should fit fine in a Baja. They have the capacity and the current capability to handle just about any motor...

You just need to find a capable ESC. 2240 should be plenty...but a 30xx could be fun :D

scyan 12.18.2006 08:32 PM

this is what gets my vote for motor... ;)

Its specifically meant for 1:5 or 1:6 conversions... look at the size and power... how's 5000w ?

Mike.L 12.18.2006 09:02 PM

I wouldnt under estimate the 2240 that thing has plenty enough tourqe to power that anyways. The pletenberg is pritty expensive.

Sylvester 12.18.2006 09:04 PM

I even have to admit the 10L has got quite some torque.... LOL Mike! ;) ahhh good times ... Burnt hands, forearms, hah, almost got my face too! :p
