9920 12 cells bec or not

is it better to not use the bec on the 9920 in any way

I wouldn't use the ESC BEC. At a servo load of 1.5A, you will be forcing the BEC to dissipate 12.6w of power wasted as heat and will be operating at 41% efficiency.

thanks, the question is for my brothers truck, he" s been running it with bec, i just wanted to know if it made a difference and i see that it does , so he's goin get a rx pack, i just ordered a new 9920 with a ubec just because every one had them , makes a big difference i see

 yea.... what he said....

Any load you can take off of the ESC will make your whole system happier:018: Its always a good idea in my book at the voltages that are run in these large brushless setups.

Awww, come on! At least I was brief for once! :)

BTW: those calcs were assuming a 6v BEC output. The values get worse if the BEC actually puts out 5v (which most do)...
