I think i got the solution
I think I have a solution to my whole problem it won’t be cheap but it will give me exactly what I want. Here it is I will use the HB diffs, RC monster Slipperential, 4s lipo, standard size dish wheels, 3.3 sliders, RC Monster Heat sink for the Esc, Feigao 7XL (smooth can -rc monster heat sink will hold on the back of the motor so no popping of), Quark esc, External Ubec, 1 cooling fan, RC monster heat sink for motor (make it fit on mamba monster Maxx), Revo 36t slipper, and a 18t pinion. . This should fix my problem for many reasons. 1.) I will use HB diffs for strength and tunebility rather than stock diffs. 2.) I will use Slippererential for the fact that it is lighter thank the g1 trans and it is better for racing. 3.) I will use the RC monster heat sink and 1 fan below the esc for better esc cooling. 4.) I use standard dish wheels so I can use my 17mm hex and small rim diameter will be less harder on the motor and it will give me more turning performance than 40 series, it will also be better on my servo. 5.) I will use 3.3 sliders because they are light and they will put less strain on the diffs. 6.) I will use the Feigao 7xl smooth can motor because it is the most bang for the buck and I can use the rc monster heat sink. 7.) I will use the ubec for better cooling of the esc. 8.) I will use the 36t spur and the 18t pinion for less strain on the motor and be able to reach speeds of the high 30s. 9.) After all is said and done with this list I get the racing performance of no other and the durability of a basher and I reach good racing speeds at safe running temps. I think I have solved pretty much every problem that could occur with my truck. Heres is my list of just the roller chassis of what I will be running so you can figure an approximate weight
This list if for you guys to see how heavy my truck will be 1.) GorillaMaxx G2 graphite x-brace chassis 2.) GorillaMaxx G2 graphite chassis extension 3.) GorillaMaxx G3 XL battery straps 4.) GorillaMaxx G3 front skid plate 5.) Unlimited Engineering gen 4 steering assembly 6.) Flextek titanium suspension arms 7.) Integy MSR5 piggy back shock set 8.) RD Logics Revo Steering Blocks 9.) RC Monster custom slipperential 10.) Proline 17mm Standard velocity wheels 11.) Proline standard size crime fighter tires 12.) Traxxas T-Maxx 3.3 sliders 13.) Fast Lane Machine front and rear hybrid bulkheads 14.) Fast Lane Machine front and rear bulkhead brace 15.) DUH Engineering Hybrid titanium front and rear shock tower set 16.) Punisher Titanium 1/8 Maxx turnbuckles 17.) Ofna 17mm wheel hub set 18.) HB Diffs Heres it a picture of how I will setup the ESC and the fan and the esc heat sinks. What do you guys think please comment on if I am wrong or if I am right and this is the solution to my problem, and if you have any opinions. Thanks PLEASE COMMENT -I used papa's Maxx to show what the setup would look http://i116.photobucket.com/albums/o...g?t=1166810306 http://i116.photobucket.com/albums/o...g?t=1166810416 I Want Your Opinions THANKS SO MUCH:027: |
I would change a few things...First off, get rid of the Integy shocks. Proline Powerstrokes all the way! Second, you can't use the sliders with the buggy diffs. Go with some MIP Revo cvd's and RD Racing knuckles (use bigger bearings) or go with UE CVD's and Racer-X suspension. I wouldn't get the Flextech...Its not worth it IMO. And lastly, get the Crime Fighter MTR versions. They have ribs on the inside to elimate the roll of the tires and ballooning...Oh, get some setback arms if you go with the Racer-X. Another option though (if the Racer-X is to expensive) is to get the Integy Type 3 Pro. Its just like the Racer-X...

squee how does it sound does it sound like every thing will work efficiently with no heat issues as far as the stuff you mentiioned the reason i have the integy shocks is because they are free and i figured i will use them at least untill they break and then get power strokes, but i think it is usless to get them for free and just not use them. I know they are not as good but mitaswell usethem if they are givin to you for free at least untill they break. As for the flextek arms i already have them and i got them off of ebay so i paid about half of what they are worth so i guess thay was a good deal. I did not know you cant use sliders with the diffs so yes i will change that. As for the crime fighters i will change that to i did not know there was one with ribs on the inside. The thing i wanted to ask you is about the motor and esc do you think i will be able to run not overheating/and efficient when using the 18t pinion and 36t spur. Basically will it all work efficiently once i fix those minior things you requested. Thanks

18T pinion with what setup? Maximizer diffs or HB? To be honest, gearing shouldn't be a big concern. Get a 16T, 18T, and 20T pinion with a couple of the 36T, 38T and 40T spurs. There cheap, so I would get 2 of each spur.

Why spend so much money on an Emaxx? It's still an Emaxx. There are several monster trucks and truggy's that would end up being cheaper and much better handling. Not to mention much more reliable.

cuz upgrading cars can be alot of fun, specially if it has potential.
but i wouldnt do it myself. atleast not with e-maxx's |
An emaxx has just as much potential as any truck. It has more versatility than
most. I think the emaxx is one of the best trucks you can get. The revo is great as well. |
