V1 Slipperential Question
Hello,
I was looking at the pictures for the V1 and I am wondering does it fit the G2R chassis as well... It looks like it would and might only require a custom set of Bonez made from RC Alloy if the G2R's bones don't fit... Anyone have any info on this? Thanks Happy New Year SkI |
no it doesn't, however, a version for the g2r is in the process of being developed, so it is only a matter of time......

Mike should have a slipperential for the g2r with in a few months.

How is the G2R one different? Is this the same one that will work on buggies/UELightning or will he make 3 different versions? Hehe.

It will be three different version when done.
The one for the g2r will also going to fit the gmaxx. The one for gmaxx will be upgraded to fit g2r so accually it will be only 2 version out. The slipper diff and slipperential. |
How many teeth are on the small gear on the slipperential?
I am looking at installing a oneway in its place and using manual brakes. I think finding a oneway for a 5mm shaft, that will work for me, is going to be a challenge in itself though. |

I don't think the slipper diff is for 1/8 buggies. If i'm correct slipper diffs are limited slip diff is like a positraction or a ball diff where a certian amount of slip is possible. With gears inside, there is no true slip inside

The slipper-diff thing Mike is working on should be like the slipperential, except that the slipper clutch is built onto the diff (it's all in-line).
I've even tried developing my own slipper-diff (that's what I've been calling it for 8+ months), but not having a lathe has almost forced me to give up. I have some Solidworks pics of it, though. The first pic shows the side with the 4 screws that would mount to the diff. The second pic shows the protuding piece which would be threaded and the spur gear, spring, and nut would go onto it for the slipper clutch. The four screw holes on the third pic are for mounting the spur gear. Note that this slipper clutch piece attaches to a center diff. It uses Revo slipper clutch pads. |

Looks like you designed yours to fit a 51 tooth ofna gear.
How does the pressure be applied to the slipper part? |
