How do these compare
How does the proline performance steering assembly compare to the unlimited engineering one. I know the UE one is stronger but is the any other difference in performance. Will the proline steering assembly do the job on a convectional 10lb maxx with standard tires, and 333oz servo. The reason i am asking this is because i want to go with the UE steering setup but it is always out of stock, I will be building my maxx soon and i need something to use as the steering setup, will the proline do me good or do i need to really need to keep waiting before it is available. Also does any body have an estimate on when the UE servo saver will be back in stock. Thanks

I dont know much about the prolines, but I have the UE and it seems the right thing for all types of abuses. Most people would choose the UEs, so I think you may want to wait for a while till it's in stock.

I used the Pro-Line one in my Race Maxx and it worked very well. You just have to crank the pre-load collar on the spring down pretty tight and use locktite to keep it in place.
|
I find the proline wears faster for it is plastic.
The ue is aluminum. It is easier to adjust tension on proline. It has a screw collar for pressure while ue has to change springs. |
Go with the UE. It won't get fouled by debris as easily.
|
And since the pro-lines are discontinued, they wont be as easy to find once they wear or break. Imo just wait for the UE.

how long untill ue ones are avalale how long des it take to make them does enybody have an estamite. also what level of springs should i use on it. i will be racing on street and mild bashing w/ 7xl standard size rims, and 333oz servo.
