Deal On the EXTREMA Charger
 

In case anyone is in the market for the Extrama Lipo charger I ran across a nice deal that I thought some of you might be interested in.
If you go the the extrema website and sign up for thier EXtrma Giveaway, they send you a confirmation email and then after you confirm your drawing entry they send you another email witha coupon for the extrema for $189 with free shipping and a free $35 computer interface cable.

With the cable you can upgrade the firmware in the charger when they release updates. The latest firmware upgrade allows you to charge A123 cells with the extrema.

Anyway... I thought it was a good deal, I thought I would share it.

LOL, funny you should mention that as I placed my order using this deal yesterday morning! I had entered the giveaway and got the email with the coupon, but with the holidays around I didn't have any extra disposable income. When I did, I found out the coupon expired 12/31. Oh no! :007: Well, I emailed TME and they said that if you still have the coupon you still can use it because they haven't updated the website yet.

So, I don't know how long they will take to update it, so if you plan to get it, get it soon!

I wonder if they will ever release a software revision to allow charging NiMHs? I know the charger has CC functionality, so it's not like it's a major stretch. Would make it a good all-around charger!

I prefer a loose 989 and an eagletree micro. it's quite heavy to toss around in your truck
