FLM Ext Chassis and Lipos??
How does the FLM Extended chassis do with Lipos? Looks like it has some sharp edges around the battery trays. Thinking about trying one, but if its gonna tear up the lipos then forget it. Would hate to order it and then find out that its no good for lipo packs. I'm running the TrueRC 8000packs in my max right now. Anyone tried this with the FLM chassis?

You may consider trying to mount some ae cups on it.

you could mount the batterys in some way using like foam under them or some thing like a battery box maybe even a peice of carbon fibre or plastic you couldmount over the chassis. When i say over i am talking about right on top or the part that the cnc milling is milled out. http://i116.photobucket.com/albums/o...g?t=1168046221 THIS is what i am talking about and the second pic is a guy that uses this chassis and mounts lipos on the under side for more lower cg.http://i116.photobucket.com/albums/o...g?t=1168046468

The underside mount looks dangerous for Lipos. Very unprotected. To much exposure for rocks, sticks and such to puncture a pack. Thats why Im looking at the FLM chassis instead of the Gmaxx chassis I have now. I want to get the packs up and more protected for bashing.

what about the first idea and that guys setup looks to be just for racing that is why the packs are low

what is the kv or the 8xl motor

You could do like the apogee limn packs have.
The have a piece of plexiglass 2mm thick top and bottom of cells to help protect them. |
