Other Wanderrer winds?

Hi,

I'm looking at getting another motor, which will be suitable for both 2 and 3 cell Lipo running (like insane on 3 cell, easy to handle on 2)

right now I'm leaning towards a Wanderrer 9S or 10S, or possibly a Lehner Basic 4200.

Which should I go with?

I think the Lehner would be perfect, but that is also a fair ammount more money...

What ESC do you have? If you have a Quark or MGM or other 4-pole compatible controller, I would get a Neu motor. Well worth the extra from what I here...

Mamba Max.

I did look at the Neu...but for what i'm doing (bashing and just very casual racing...the Lehner 5300 on 2 cells is plenty for waxing the nitros already...but I've got some 3 cells now which are simply too much for the 5300) the Neu isn't worth the money...same with the Lehner 1920 and 1930.

Very very nice motors i'm sure, but the Basic 4200 is the absolute maximum i'm prepared to spend (have to save for university and things :()

Depending on what it's going in, the 9S would be my choice. A 380C might be better suited though...

im assuming that you have tryed a 5700KV from MM?

Nope not yet...I think that will be a little fast though.

I love fast things...but the Lehner 5300 is just too much on 3S and that will put the truck on it's lid at pretty much any speed if i peg it, so i'm going for something a bit more usable and also to gain some runtime.

MM 4600 is looking tempting now...especially given that i will be able to use 4S should the need arise ;)

Id give the 4600 a try, very good motor.

Or the 5700 with toned down settings.
