After watching the video of your matrix conversion I was wondering if you could share the details of your battery mount.I have my own ideas but always looking for better ones.A picture would be worth a thousand words.I looked through some of your posts with no luck.I have most of the parts I need for my conversion just need to build a battery tray and receive my motor in the mail to finish up.
thanks in advance pinolelst |

Thanks guys.Is that tray mounted with the 2 gorilla strap screws or is there another attachment point I can't see ?? Did you use CF for shims to get it up above the mud guard nuts ?? Sorry for all the questions :032:

I did use around .090in of CF shim inder the ends of the battery tray to gt it to just rest on top of the edge of the mud gaurds and sit flat. I am actually not using the middle mud guard screw so I didnt have to lift it all the way over the top of the nuts. On the Mud Guard I trimmed the little plastic pocket for the nut down flush to the rest of the mud guard. It doesnt need the middel screw. The battery tray actually kind of clamps the mud guard down. You can see in the pictures that I actually trimmed the battery tray around the front and rear mud guard nuts. |
