Gearing BL-REVO
What is everyone running as a FINAL drive ratio on their Revo's?
What temps are you getting? What voltage? What kv motor? Basher/track? Just wanna see how far everyone is going in each direction. |
I had another idea for this kind of topics; i wanted to start a new information bank, not revo dependent, but weight/motor/controller/ratio dependent.
|
Yep, it would be handy for people.
|
If this forum does not lend itself to that type of databank, I might be able add a page to the Calculations thingy with this information. Maybe make it sortable. Won't be as nice as a true database, but it should work...
|
Yep, with all the users here, we have got a huge amount of knowledge and experiences..
I was thinking about a new section, all the topics in them should get motor-names/types.. in each topic you can post a thread starting with 'controller/amount of cells/app weight of vehicle', an easy to read, and a good reference guide.. you can post your personaly experience/review in the thread, what you liked/disliked about the setup. |
Be sure to make one section for "Setups guarranteed to catch fire". we have a whole database of those....lol.
|
Do we post here? Or, wait for the info thread to be set up?
|
Wait.. I did sent Mike an email..

Final Drive Ratio - 26.39382 : 1
Motor Temp - 90-110*F Batteries - 4S Lipo Motor KV - 4800 Terrain - Track PS. The truck is not geared specifically for the track. Its just geared to run with plenty of top speed for the track while running at a (very) comfortable temperature. Temperature stays like that for the entire run (which is about 40-50 minutes on my 8K lipo's). The track I run on is quite small, once I hit a larger track, gearing will change (probably to add more top end) and motor temps will probably go up, and runtime will probably go down as well. |
Feigao 7XL on 5s2p A123 (~32,000 RPM loaded)
Revo diffs with 18/44 transmission (my "slipperential"), 20/40 spur/pinion, for a FDR of 13.915 The motor runs about 130-150 deg. F or so. So far, this is only from running on the street with Maxx Mashers (high grip on pavement) |
