E-Savage Brushless

Hello, Can you give me some advise on a brushless setup for my E-Savage. I was thinking of a Feigao 8L with a Warrior 9920 or Mamba Max. Power will come from two stock six cell packs and soon IB4200 packs. I dont plan on running 7 cell packs. Would an xl be a better motor choice? Looking for good all around performance, speed and run time. Any sugestions about motors and esc will be helpful. Thanks
Gene

hello and welcome.

savage forum pretty slow here.

with 12 cells, the mamba max is winner hands down

8L is good motor choice, XL may give more grunt but loose a little run time. if stock e savage, 8L is probably best choice.

Holy cow.. this post must have slipped right thru! sorry for keeping you waiting that long..

the 8L is too hot, consider an XL can instead. on 14 cells a 7XL for great speed, and an 8/9XL for longer runtime, with decent speed.

If I remember correctly, there isn't much space on the e-savage for longer cans so an XL can may require some mods to fit but would be well worth it.

I think a 9L would be a better motor.
