Welcome to the forums!

Are you using a UBEC or receiver pack? The MM was proven on 4s but not the greatest on 5s.

welcome, all brushed up!
might need mgm compro or quark esc? or MMM?

Even a 9920 would be a good esc.

Welcome to the forum all brushed up.

Basicly, the mm isn't meant for 5S. Some users have got luck with it on 5S though. If you want to use it on 5S, do you use a UBEC/external receiver pack? if yes; did you removed the red wire from the three wires going from the speedo to the receiver?

I am using the ubec, removed the red wire I just have very little power and if I punch it it just stops. I can only get about 10% power out of the 5s batterys. What gives?

Basically, it is made for no more than 4s. If you can get it to work on 5s, consider it a bonus. Kinda like computer overclocking; some CPUs can do it better than others - the only thing the manufacturer will guarantee is that it will run as specified.

Maybe you can play with the timing and throttle control to make the ESC not quite work so hard. What motor are you using?

Make sure Lipo cut-off is on Auto or Off!

Side to that: Can the MM run on 4s with no Ubec?

Set LVC at around 15.5v, and plug it all up. It should initialize fine, and give the yellow light I believe. You may only get a second or two of power, if so...turn off switch and back on. Yellow light should be back. Then give it slight throttle and hold it at that position for a while. It should act alright once the voltage drops to around 20.4v. That should get you running though, its a pain...but its not made for 5s.

Sounds like an LVC problem to me.

It would over heat without a UBEC, anything over 3s should use a ubec.
