FLM Center skid plate on GMAXX
any suggestion how to mount the skid plate? Beside using nuts and bolts on.....I bought the skid plate i didnt know it was short for the screw mounts of the x braces
|
It will not work, since the gmaxx chassis is flat all you would be doing is adding a peice of aluminum which isnt needed.

ok too bad i bought it......thanks anyway.....

Its not technically needed, but it will help add strength & protect against scratches. You will require a tape measure, cordless drill, 3mm drill bit, and some voodoo magic to mount it- the holes at one end will line up, but you will need to drill 2 new holes at the other end (if the plate is long enough) that line up with the holes on the chassis, then just use some slightly longer countersunk screws to bolt it to the chassis (counter sink the new holes with a larger drill bit- dont go in too deep though).

Thanks neil, but even if i align the holes it will only be hanging there and since it flat it will ave a gap between the GMAXX chassis. It will just collect dirt or grass....
Thanks for all the suggestion...i followed neweuser and sold it for $5 :).... |

i know....my lost...ill just think of it as a help to others....hahaha..charity :p
better sell it than not.. |
Really, ya did good. Also, not only did you most likely help someone else, but that is a another 5.00 towards something else too!

$/£ is always better than an unused part. I heard that Gmaxx are releasing some kind of skid/reinforcement for the Gmaxx chassis- might be worth looking into when the times comes.
