My E Revo

Heres my go at building an E Revo. Used a 2.5 Chassis, Johnson st550 motors, E Savage Tranny, E Sav Slipper, E Sav ESC and E Maxx center shafts. Since I run an Ebay chop shop for E Savages, I kind of have the parts at my disposal :)
Will go BL in a while, but am waiting to see what CC is up to, then I will decide what BL setup to run!

You don't really need to wait, since the current one can take 5S already. 5S realy is all you need for a nice racer/basher.

that looks awsome and I like the brace in the rear I hope mine works as good.

Haven't seen your e-revo before, but it looks really nice. Although it is not brushless, lol, the set up is very clean which si what I like. Good job on the conversion!! :027:

Ken448,

Do you have photos or diagrams of how you adapted the E-Maxx tranny???

Ken448 03.21.2007 11:00 PM

Its not a E Maxx Tranny, it is an E Savage Tranny. I used aluminum angle brackets to attach it to the chassis.

OK, the time has come to add a BL setup to this bad boy. I want to use the Mamba Max controller (price and tunability) I plan on running 14 cells max. Whats a good motor to run, and what sppeds would I expect to see with the recommended motor? Id LIKE to do 40ish, but close will suffice ;)

I would go with the Feigao 7XL on 4S if I were you, but 14 cells will yield good performance as well.

Ken448 03.27.2007 11:42 PM

explain the diffrence between the 7 8 and 9??

The number represents the number of turns of wire on the coils. Higher numbers mean less kv (rpm per volt).
