Best Bashing Setup For Emaxx
just curious what you guys would setup for an Emaxx to just mess around with. i'm looking for value here. don't care about looks. i took my recently purchased emaxx out today and tore it up. screws are missing, i bent the front right arm. the front bulk head is bent, all kinds of problems. it was fun tho. i also broke my chassis and will need to get a new one of those as well. i was looking into getting a gorillamaxx or fastlane machine chassis, but how well can those take a beating? how heavy are they? are they worth the extra money?

the FLM chassis is 358 gramm, and is perfect for bashing.
I would take that over the gmaxx for bashing. Don't know if you want to go brushless, but if you do, you might invest in new (better) diffs/driveshafts. |
+1 on the FLM chassis. It's nice for bashing.
If you want to go all out, I'd suggest FLMs Hybrid bulks and HB diffs. Some nice shocktowers too. What bulkheads were you bending? |
what would be the best bang for the buck bashing setup for the emaxx?
flm chassis rpm arms flm bulks etc etc etc |
Ultimate setup?
IMO; UE supershocks (4 or 8 of them) or traxxas Bigbore shocks with heavy duty springs. RPM arms, 3.3 arms with RPM 3.3 knuckles << best bang for the buck || Nice if you can swing it >> or UE cvd's with Flextek titanium arms, hotbodies or UE 8 spider diffs, RC-monster idlers for the transmission, inputshaft mod in the transmission. A single speed converion for the transmission adds strength as well. UE 1/8th diffcups with FLM bulks or FLM 1/8th bulkless, shocktowers; DUH engineering titanium towers, GA titanium skids, Dace 23mm adapters with Proline 23mm rims (i would advice non 40 series for bashing) for bashing you don't need 18 cells.. 14 is more than enough. |
danfi...it's not an obvious bend, but the skid plate doesn't line up anymore. it's the integy front bulk. and i broke a screw in it. :-(
|
That sounds like integy!
|
serum u like the DUH engineering titanium towers over the flm towers?
|
Yep.. lighter and they won't bend or bring as much stress to the bulks/chassis on a roof dive session.. they give a bit..
|
For the price; nothing beats the looks and the quality of the FLM, agreed!
|
Here is what I would go with:
1. FLM shock towers (I would also add a wing) 2. FLM Combo bulks 3. FLM chassis 4. FLM diffs 5. RPM 3.3 arms 6. RPM 3.3 knuckles 7. RPM wear plates 8. Traxxas aluminum turnbuckles 9. Gorillamaxx skids 10. Proline Powerstroke shocks 11. Dace adapters and rims and tires of your choice |
i wish you luck in getting the powerstrokes! i thought it was known that they are obselete?
i would stay away from the aluminum TB's.. the CF or titanium ones last longer for bashing. |
powerstrokes! obselete! what every do u mean
|
obsolete.. they are not sold by retailers for a normal price anymore.
|
so there not sold that doesnt mean there no good
