associated b4

Hey everyone, i just got a associated b4 rtr se. I am looking to hop up the esc and motor to brushless. what would be a good choice for this car? I want a good amount of speed, around 40mph, and preferrably run off of 6cells, maybe 7. what would be a good, affordable system for this buggy, thanks for all of your help.

On 7 cells, the novak ss is the easiest way to go. The little buggy really doesn't need a whole lot to get to 40mph and the Novak will accomplish this pretty easily. It may even do it on 6 cells, but on 7 cells, it would be a no brainer. The Novak is also among the least expensive systems available, as well as being very smooth.

mike, do you carry the novak system? also i havent heard that great of things about it. can you tell me anything about it, such as durability and maintanence? thanks

Yes, I carry the Novak system. There were some problems with some of the systems early on, but Novak is an excellent company that stands behind their product. It is standard brushless stuff-low maintenance. I have had one for well over a year and I haven't had any trouble with it at all.The nice thing about the novak also is the fact that it is plug and play. If the system give you trouble, Novak would repair or replace it quickly. The Novak is not as powerful as some of the other systems out there, but the 1/10 buggies don't need too much power to be fast, due to their light weight.

well thankyou mike, now i feel confident in getting that system, what is the price of the novak system? i am leaning towards the super sport one

$229 for the SS5800. It is a nice little system for your b4.
