New look for my pede. Check it out.

Got new body, bumper and wheels for my pede today. Today I clocked it at 42mph running on a 6000mah 2 cell LiPo. Tomorrow my new 5000HV 3cell will show up and I can have some real fun LOL. Lehner(1920/12 2600kv) motor never gets above 110 degrees and the MambaMax doesn't even get warm to the touch. Runtimes are insane ranging from 30 to 40 minutes depending on how hard I run it. Gotta love these indestructible pedes.

u need to ditch those stock crappy mount and make the body LOOOOOOOW, looks and works better =)

looks good man!

Seems like I've tried everything with the body mounts and how I have it seems to hold up best. I ramp the snot out of it almost on a daily basis so I was going threw stock body posts like toilet paper. Now I have custom front and rear posts and they have yet to fail me. I would like to get it lower but how do I get the front posts lower? The servo gets in the way of trying to lower the front body posts. If anyone has tips on how I can get the body lower and still have very strong body posts I'd certainly give it a try.

u can see how i did mine here, the front is even lower now to lol

Don't take this offensive because your truck looks just amazing, but those front body posts wouldn't even last me one day. I thrash the everlasting life out of my pede on my dirt jumps. I've been threw the all aluminum FastLane pede(in fact I still have it setting in a box somewhere) and then back to plastic because well, I really hate to say it, but the plastic is tougher. Aluminum looks awesome but for beating, thrashing, and jumping it just gets all bent up. Especially those cursed ****ing hinge pins that get stuck in the aluminum A arms. Those dam pins won't stay in when I need them too and cant get them out when I'm taking it apart. Here's some close ups of my body posts.

These posts are tried and true. I think my truck lands on it's lid more then it lands on its wheels LOL. It would be nice to get the body lower, but how? The back Can go as low as I need it, those front posts are the trick.

BlackedOutREVO 03.02.2007 01:26 AM

i have a new set up up front, the posts are small, so small that the screw going into the post goes so far up the post i drilled the hole and screw, and its on a rpm mount... belive me i know i bash =as hard as u do or more man, when i jump its atleast 7 8 ft in the air, i have hit lil trees and get my bumber wedged in it lol... flm stuff is VERY tough and idk how ur telling me its not, i know because i have bashed my buddys stock 06 pede and broke it by doing cart wheels at like 25, i have hit a BIG rom at 30+ mph and just bent the muber, which i put in a vice and its good as new :D

Where did you get the RPM mount, do you have a link to it? I'll certainly give it a try since I'm a firm believer in using as many RPM parts as possible. Not sure what I'm doing different, but my aluminum pede doesn't hold up to my abuse nearly as well as the plastic one. Right now it is setting in a box with banana shaped A arms and bent hinge pins all around. Plastic will flex and still keep its form. I still brake parts sometimes but they are easy and cheap to replace. Maybe its just the lower weight of plastic that saves me. The biggest problem I have is the caster blocks. I barely found out about the aluminum blocks from hobbyetc.com. The caster block is certainly a part that needs to be aluminum so I'm going to give those a try. I'd do the aluminum bearing carriers as well but I never break the RPM carriers so its probably not needed.

no keep ur rpm carriers for shure! yes casterblocks are needed i aggree there! and flm has then, and u get the flm warrenty

and heres the rpm mount

anoter way is to take those longer blue rpm posts by heating them and bentd them, they u mount them in front of ur shock

for the rpm mount to work i think u will need a flm tower up front

Nice looking pede you've got there hyperasus. I can tell you beat the **** out of it. lol It is so scratched and dirty. :005:

hyperasus 03.02.2007 02:06 AM

I'm going to order the RPM body mount and see what I can make of it.

When you say flm has the caster blocks you mean the nitro ones right? I prefer the keeping the electric style front carriers, + all my tires/wheels are for electric. I'm going to give these a try.
