Lehner vs Mamba Max Motors?
Sorry for posting so many threads lately, but between researching the MLST for my friend, the CRT .5 for myself, and a BL system for my G2R I've been having tons of qestions.
Anyway, how does the Lehner 1525 motor compare to a Mamba Max motor? I'm looking for a motor to put in the CRT .5 and the way I want to set up the truck I think the CM36XX motor might be physically too large to fit where I want it to. The Lehner 1525 is about 5mm smaller in diameter and length. |
I'm sure the LMT motors are higher quality, and the price shows. As far as the CRT.5 is concerned, I want to convert one too and I plan to put a LMT 1920 in there if it will at all fit. It's one of those things where you get the vehicle, plan the layout, and see what will fit with the room you have.
|
Yea...I'm hoping the 1525 will be just as powerful as the 5700 with both on 3S. The 5700 is a larger motor, but I'm counting on the Lehner's quality and efficiency to make up for it.
This is all preliminary planning. When I get the vehicle my whole plan may change. |
Can anyone else comment on this?

well i kinda cant, but i figured id say wuts up
im getting into on road racing, i have 1 grand to spend and im using it for on road car stuff, so im not doing my crt.5 =( i want to but on road racing will be more fun as i dont have a off road track... so im not going to have any more info for u |

but no he hasnt replied to that e mail yet, but i will tell u asap, when he tells me in other words lol |
I can't give lots of detail, but when you compare the two motor's together, you'll notice the following:
CC Motor, uses a 540 sized can, 480 sized rotor and it's not segmented. Lehner 1525 is a bit shorter, but has a 29.3mm diameter can, with a 480 sized and segmented rotor. I'd say go with the 1530 motors since they are a bit longer than the CC Motors and surely mor powerful. |
The 1530 has a 4mm shaft, which I want to avoid. I figure if I run the 1525 on 4S or 5S lipo it will be plenty to push around the CRT .5
|
I believe you can order one with 1/8" shaft. Lehner produces their 1920 series with both 4mm and 3mm shafts per request. The 1530 is no exception, if you ask me.
|
Hmm, in that case, I will get a 1530. I'll have to ask Mike once the project begins.
