Please need help on my rear assembly as the shock springs is rubbing against my Carbon fiber plate, can i put a small spacers on my aluminum rear shock mount? what do i need to do ? thanks in advance
|
I put spacers as well as took a file and shaved the plate down to clear it (you can just make it at an angle, sort of like ___\ instead of _____| this. Just make sure you seal it with CA and you are fine.

This is what i did; I put spacers underneath the shock-holder that is on the 2nd CF plate; about 5mm thick, and you should be good to go.
I also started a thread about this issue, i don't think George did an excellent job on it, (the front is perfect, but the rear is lacking) so i sent him an email too. Perhaps with the new version he can help us out. For the mean time you can use the spacer. |
I see a very remarkable motor position there, rene ;)

Isn't that the SEXIEST mount you've ever seen Daf!?
I got it from a Guy in Switzerland, i bet you would love to have one on your revo! i'll hook you up with his email address. |
Dosent look like its seen any use - hmmm.... :005:
|
yeah, i am waiting for parts.. That's the killer..

Very nice Rene, I like it! How would a slipperential work with the motor position? Or wouldn't it?
|
there is a diff on it allready. the slipperential is a complete different design. (at least, from the latest things i've seen of it)

Yea - the motor will hang off to the side - with adjustment for pinion size - Very sweet design - ( i think i seen it - LOL )
|
Looks increadable serum makes me want to buy one -If i could afford it-
|
It looks so pretty with all the clean CF and aluminum. I wouldn't want to drive it!
|
I was looking at the slipperential design and realized if Mike just incorporated the motor mount on the rear diff mount, then it would work fine (did I just let a cat out of the bag here?).
The only thing one would have to worry about is clearing the "pinion" on the slipper shaft that drives the diff. |
