BK 12020 esc wires ques

When I purchase my new 12020 esc, I saw that there are four battery leads, 2 black and 2 red. I have batteries that also have 2 Black and two red (this is 2 3s2p packs in SERIES)). Can I just match the leads of the batts with the leads of the controller and get a SERIES electrical setup?

Thanks!

Hi Super, long time no see..!

No, the 2 wires are just 1 wire (and need to be handled as one). the series harness should be made on the battery side.

thank you serum, it's good to be back.

Where ya been?!

it's interesting to see how many posts you guys have gotten, since i've been gone.

What have i been doing this whole time? EMAXXING!

My emaxx (in my signature) is the most reliable thing i've ever built...no need for a forum since I never need help. Long story short my maxx is rated for 120 amps, yet it only pulls half of that. 45 minutes of running and everything is a cool as a nightclub.

It only goes 35MPH, but after having a 55mph CF gorilla that burnt out all $650 worth of electronics, speed is the last thing i really need.

To me, when it comes to RC, mediocracy is key...took me a while to figure this out.

Nothing feels better than knowing that you have an operating RC car sitting on your shelf.

Good to hear your maxx is running hard!

Post up some pics if you can!

Yeah, there's something to be said for having parts capable of up to twice the performance than you typically run it at. Everythings just lasts longer, is more reliable, and runs cooler than if running everything at the edge of the envelope.

but where is the fun in doing that?

BrianG 03.11.2007 06:04 PM

Well, the fun is where you can run multiple hours without breaking or overheating. Let me ask you; where is the fun in having to order and pay for a burnt ESC? ;)

Mr.lst 03.11.2007 06:07 PM

I guess you are right. I was just playin anyway

BrianG 03.11.2007 06:16 PM

I know, hence the winking smiley. :)

Superemaxx89 03.11.2007 07:29 PM

Trust me, I've had my fun both ways.

Now i'm having fun, but less expensive/explosive.

Besides, I do take the maxx apart from time to time. Nothing major, just tweaking it, and replacing minor parts.
