Never try it, if it is NOT MIKE
This was my first brushless truck and Mike has been as helpful as ever.:028: If you would look at most of the parts, it is not listed on the website. He told me he has lots of spare lying around. I dont know if it is just me but if you ever try requesting products not listed on other website, the support/owner/customer rep. will never help you and will just say "we dont carry those".:007: Mike has truly the most helpful and easy to approach online seller/shop. I know custom work has been delayed but believe me as most people here know. Delay is only happened because Mike dont want to give you BS items and makes sure that it is in perfect working condition. Anyway, enough of that here is the list of the parts I got from MIKE:

My batteries are still in production so if could buy a good charger I should be able to run this baby.:024: THANKS MIKE FOR ALL THE HELP :027: |
That is an amazing list. So 10 of 10 for Mike? How do you like that 540c xl?
|
It has always been 10/10 for Mike. If you would also see my comments on other testimonials here. I just posted now because my list has been completed
BTW, for the motor i havent tested it yet since the last few parts is still in transit and the Li-ION batts is still in production. Ohhh and I havent bought a charger yet:005: |
lol what one do u think u'll use? I think that I will get the ice or the SB989.
|
SB989 is a great charger but i cant use it on my Li-Ion, Ice can be used but i need Lipodapter...im still considering whether to buy a good Li-ION charger or just buy NiCD-NiMH plus lipodapter...
BTW just got the package earlier...super fast...Mike shipped it last Saturday...Reached Singapore for 5 days :) |
Thats pretty quick lol. I think that I will be getting either my brushless setup or some tranny/drivtrain parts as I brole my center shaft today. Would a ubec work with the stock esc? Do you think the titans could take 14-16 cells?
|
Traxxas says the titans and EVX can take 14 cells. The titans do get kind of hot and I don't think they'll last as long (not that there expensive though), but then it's more reason to go brushless. 14 cells on the titans is deffinetly more fun than 12 cells.
I don't see any reason why a UBEC wouldn't work if it's wired up right, but I don't think theres much point (unless your pushing it by using more than 14 cells or lower turn motors), because I think (I could be wrong though) that the internal BEC in the EVX only takes power from one battery and not both. So it only has to convert 7.2 volts to 5 or 6 volts, not 14.4v to 5v, so not that much heat would be produced. |
Yah I was wondering because I was thinking of ordering drivetrain parts instead of the brushless and figured I could get a little more speed with like 16 cell packs and the ubec but I have no clue what to order now.
