MRC Thunderking bl project attempt #2 lol!

well i just bought another for my first dip back into the bl scene...been bit by the nitro bug lately....eversince i sold my e-revo...any who i was wonding wats a good motor to run on 3s in this truck?

http://i19.ebayimg.com/05/i/000/93/59/f74d_1.JPG

it's longer than a stock e-maxx, 2wd, but weighs less than e-maxx, heavier than normal 1/10st...this truck is 1/8th

maxamps 3s pack will be used since i've already got em(8000mah), and will pickup mamba max esc, what motor should i use? can't be smaller than l series if i want torque...really could use xl series to be honest it's a huge truck

http://img.photobucket.com/albums/v4...ng1project.jpg comparison pic between tamiya 1/10 and MRC 1/8th i used to own...first bl attempt LOL

any suggestion would be greatly appreciated..thanks

Im not sure that the truck can handle a high powered BL. May the novak 5800 might work on the truck. Parts for that truck can be hard to find.

truck looks good, looks like you have the the bajaking. I actually have a thunderking and those trucks are durable. I havent run the thing in like 10yrs though.

I think you are right, the novak hv should be enough power for it, especially since they are 2wd.
