Just Started Programing My 125b And It Doesn't Beep, Is It Supposed To?

I dont think so...one of the reasons I didn't get it.

4 leds give you the feedback. Follow the manual. the first time it can get kinda confusing, but after you get it figured out its a piece of cake.

I think it does. Read the manual - towards the end, it indicates that there is a beep when programming data is saved. From my vague memory, it does that. The manual is not fantastic but some reading between the lines will get u there. BTW I own 2 Quark 125B & a Quark 33,

There are little blips when a setting is saved, but the leds is how the quarks tell you what setting you are choosing. The blip in between settings is more just to let you know it saved it.

It only beeps when connected to a motor, as it sends pulses to the motor to act as a speaker. It works very well actually, the start-up tune is pretty neat too.

Or wait, i just remembered, I don't know if it beeps during programing, not sure. some help i was.... :032: :005:

first, yes, it beeps after each setting.
second, thanks zero, when i got my quark i was sure it was beeping after each step, but when i went to program it about a week ago, it wasn't beeping during setup, so thought something might be wrong.. then re-programed it a few days later connected to the motor, and the tones returned.
do you have a link w/ more info about how the motor acts as a speaker?

The controller simply sends a set of pulses of audio frequency to the motor in such a way that it won't move. Although, if you don't have the pinion on it, the shaft does move ever so slightly. The tones are made the same way that the "music" is made when running; by the coils vibrating. Some motors are more musical than others. My 10XL makes noise as it is running, but my Neu doesn't - and they both use the same controller. I imagine it matters how tightly the coils are wound...
