brushless twin force

well i have seen a few on here and well my 820 motor set-up is just too heavy, nice power but heavy

so any recommendations on a nice set-up...
looking to use 14-16cells (maybe more)
and speeds of around 45-50mph

also what upgrades do i need? probably buggy diffs buy the looks of it, i have heard they fit
cheers

Welcome!

Get a Mamba Max controller with a 1950/7 Lehner motor and 4s lipos. Try not to use sub c cells, since you can aquire higher speeds with lipos. If you insist, 14 cells( of high quality) with the 1950/7 will surely take you to a mid 40s or even low 50s.

A couple of guys on here have BL TF's...Promod and Dafni. A good start would be going through some of these threads:

if you still need to upgrade to 4spider diffs or so and to steel r&p you may want the hotbodies diffs, lightning ones. also need shims.
dont get the pro, as those are 4.3/1 instead of 3.3/1, i got the 4.3's and already regret it before using them. it will be slow with them in it. but i'm not going BL on this one. any questions ask us about it.:027:

jimbob 03.23.2007 11:40 AM

ok i will look for those diffs :027: is this good http://www.rc-monster.com/proddetail...HPI_BUGGY_DIFF do they just drop straight in?
also i had a look and someone did a centre diff mod instead of the stock drivetrain.. is this a good thing to do

currently out of stock of the 1950 but i will look around.. this ent gunna be cheap

btw those links dont work but i will have a look around, i already did a bit and saw some pics etc

**http://www.neumotors.com/20061222/15...%20data.html** has anyone tried one of these motors i like the look of them and the price :P

captain harlock 03.23.2007 04:28 PM

Yup, these motors are as good as the Lehners. I'd definately go for one of them.

jimbob 03.23.2007 06:30 PM

good good i like half the price :027:
so what motor would i be looking at... i tried to understand the motor charts but that didn't work to well...
maybe looking at li-po, but could get twice the cells in nihm for the same price

And about 1.5-2X the weight also. IMO, if you're going to spend the money to go Neu or Lehner, spend the money to go Lipo.

jimbob 03.24.2007 07:09 AM

ya i know but only really have $600 max to spend atm...
i will try and get three different combo's going and see which you guys think is the best :027:

Dagger Thrasher 03.26.2007 08:45 AM

Hey Jimbob!:018: I see you're asking the right people on how to go about this.:027: I won't throw in any suggestions as these guys have much more experience than I do, but I can't wait to see what ya come up with mate.:027:

i would be woried to fit a neu in the stock tranny, there's not much space at all. i'd take the save route and get a lehner 1940 or 1950.
but then there are no 4mm bore pinion's for the 1940 in 32p.

jimbob 03.26.2007 11:10 AM

anyone got any motor specs.. could maybe make a new plate...
or adapt it using the centre diff

Mike said the new LMT's he has coming have the 5mm shaft.

jimbob 03.26.2007 01:35 PM

that sounds alright

quick question.. would i get better performance with a $300 motor and $100 nihm batteries
or $300 li-pos and $100 motor

jimbob 03.28.2007 05:11 PM

anyway...

for the diffs do i need the complete set or do i just need to orer the diff gears.

i get get just the diff gears for £5 each so that is abit cheaper or do i need the diff housing etc as well?
