driftin fever tc3
i think im going to get into some driftin/rally for fun, i have a 9920 from my e-maxx what motor do you guys recomend also have a ubec hooked up to the speedo but i dont think it matters with the lower voltage of a 6 cell bat, 45mph would be nice
|
1920/5 is very good for 40+ speedruns.
|
i sorry, with a budget motor
|
budget, i would think Fiegao 7 'S' for 6-cell
I remember when brushless first got going with RC, people were using Hacker 8s size motors in an E-maxx, WHOW. :026: |
I'm running a Mamba Maxx 7700 on 7 cells in my TC4. It's insane!
|
Those little Fiegao 380c motor are extremely quick little motors and light weight too. That is what I use. On a 3s lipo it is impossible to even controll! They are quicker than the Fiegao 540 S motors and probably even the MM motors too.
|
I believe both the Mamba Max and the small feigaos use the same size of rotors.
Get a 540 size plate from Mike and put it on a Kontronik Fun480-55($130) and you're off to go. |
so what 380 size motor do you recomend for tc3 that i can also put in my rc10t,
also is it true that speedos like to be wide open most of time, i read that some where and would like to take into account if true, i dont want to burn up my 9920 because i have a motor that to fast and have to drive 1/2 throttle. thanks guys |
If your going to go back and forth I would probably go with a mamba motor. The rc10t is a little heavy imo for a 380c and may get too hot. The 380 6L is a good choise for the rc10t. Or just go for a MM 5700 or 7700. That would be the easiest.
