4" wide (flat) shrink wrap? where to find...

Hi guys,

I have been looking for some some shrink wrap with roughly 4" wide (when flat).

Preferably black, or blue. It's to hold 5 A123 M1 cells side-by-side pack.

i got mine from maxamps.

zeropointbug 03.24.2007 03:13 PM

dang, Serum, quick reply! What was that... 1 minute?!

I'll check it out

thanks

But it seems to be of their site..

Contact Austin about it. I'm sure they can help you.

That's odd. Well, you can still find it by accessing the old site. Go here, click the "Wire/Shrink/Electronics" link in the menu. Then click the "Wire and Shrink Wrap" link at the top of the results pane...

I tried that when i posted it, but i couldn't find it either.

Their site is too slow to be true at this moment.. Takes a century..

zeropointbug 03.24.2007 05:46 PM

Well, crap, they only have up to 92mm, i need at least 100mm to fit around the batts.

BTW, Serum, I am going to be building a Segway Centaur starting this spring. I was planning on using a Lehner 3080 series motor, but I am LOST for finding a suitable controller, in the range of 70-100 volts, and 4 - 6 kW peak power, and at least 2000 watts continuous (maybe more, not totally sure). So if anyone knows of a manufacturer of a good controller for this application, PLEASE let me know.

If you don't know what the Centaur is, go HERE. It's just a concept right now. You can private message me if you want, I'd prefer it actually.

Thanks

Zero

i just looked, they have got larger than 92..? much larger for a fact.

what up with the kontronik 63V?

squeeforever 03.24.2007 05:59 PM

Zeropointbug, how are you gonna build one up this spring when they don't even intend to produce it as of now?

zeropointbug 03.24.2007 06:15 PM

What do you mean? lol

I will build it with my hands! You're an RC person, you should know that you can build anything, just a matter of will, and passion. Besides, this thing would be a simple build really, a couple tubes, couple machined brackets, electronics, and some tires... oh, and some bike handle bars.

I'm planning on having it get up to 40mph, and wheelie capable, of course. :017:

Oh...See how you said it, it seemed as though you were gonna buy one then put BL in it. :p

zeropointbug 03.24.2007 07:33 PM

hmmm, :005: It looks like I said I was going to build it.

Hopefully with the LMT 3080, it will have plenty of power, and stay cool if i use liquid cooling.

Serum, do you have a link to that Kontronik controller? I can live with 63V i guess, but it would be risky running the esc near it's voltage limit.

Thanks Serum

These guys have 105mm shrink wrap. http://cheapbatterypacks.com/main.as...18&pgid=shrink

zeropointbug 03.24.2007 11:43 PM

Thanks Cartwheels, I just went a bought some. It's sure cheap stuff, most went to chipping costs.
