How much weighs your truggy brushless ?
Hello has all
I find that my truggy brushless is heavy, how much weighs your? thanks bye |
Bonjour! Welcome to the forums! I haven't weighed mine yet, but mine's pretty light. What truggy do you have, and what's your brushless system? Any photos?
|
my truggy is a hellfire witch warrior 9920 + feigao 8XL + 16 intellect 3800
It is almost finished thanks |
i would guess 4.5 kg?
|
no 5.2kg :002:
|
I have a Losi Muggy that I converted with a MM/Feigao 7XL. With a 4S2P 6Ah pack, it weighs around 13lbs. It's pretty heavy, but you wouldn't know it watching it run. It wheelies and jumps like an animal.
|
But what kind of animal? Some animals don't move fast or jump far. ;)
|
No, while a hippo might look too big, it does a good 30mph on a speedrun.. Don't know how it jumps though.. (i guess it's the landing that's the killer)
Piere; Considered going lipo? What tires/wheels are you using? |
I would think that is lands just fine, team losi does alot of homework before releasing their products and that is close to stock weight with a nitro engine in it.
|
my hellfire is full origin
You do not think that with the 8XL it will have not many speed? |
o.k. my Outrunner Hf iss org.4,4 KG Heavy ! By using Lipo RC Battery I will earn 100 Gramm´s less ! The 8 s /123 Li/FE Zells are only 600 Gramm´s light !
I would like to place two 4800er4s Packs into a 8 S but in the org. Hellfire there is not enough Space to Place them on a good Posizion ! I want to build a komplet Chassis, with is 3 CM longer and the Big lipos will fit in ! best Regards Stefan |
If I was to say what sort of animal my Muggy is, I would have to say that it's a big FAT cat. It is fast, jumps well, lands well, and is pretty fast. It is faster than any nitro truggy I've seen.
It is heavy, but there is also a lot I can do to shed weight. As the opporunities arise, I will be adding carbon fiber and getting rid of the 40 series wheels/tires that also add a lot of weight. I do, however, have to say that the stock tires provide good traction and are wearing well on concrete. |
I would not worry about the weight until you start to race I am sure it is balaced very well

Looks good Piere; but i have got a tip for you;
use a 46t kyosho spur, that way you can flip the differential; that long pinion is a killer for your motorshaft! if you can't do the 46t (due to gearing limitations) make an extra slot in the chassis. I would try to make the wires on the controller a bit shorter. |
