Gearing help

I havn't a clue about gearing.

I will be purchasing the 10L + Warrior 9918 with UBEC soon I hope.

Just need to know what pinion/spurs I need? I'm not too botherd about getting that "exact" gearing aslong as I see good performance that is an alrounder in accel', top speed, runtime.

Should I buy a selection of pinions/spurs?

Thanks. - Getting excited now.

Someone else will help you with the exact gearing, I have no experience with this motor.
But from the experience I have with other setups, I would suggest you get a selection of pinions. Especially if you plan to run your truck on different surfaces and tracks.

I got myself a temp gun and keep a record of my temps, too.

Is a normal pinion for a basic common brushed motor 3mm or 5mm?

So I can use normal common pinions on the 10L or do I need special ones?

Dafni 05.25.2005 06:45 AM

Common is 3mm, I think. (1/8 inch)
Yours will be 5mm.

Mike can provide pinions.

You will need the 5mm bore pinions as Dafni said. I will steer you in the right direction for gearing when the time comes.
