I need a cooler motor for my e-revo

Now i run with the feiago 8xl with 51/16 with 4s and thats way to hot:mad:1
How is the Neu 1515 1y/F Sensorless Brushless Motor wil this run cooler:036:
Does they have 5mm shaft, and can i use my qyark 125b with this motor?

Thats very wierd...an 8XL on 4S should run ice cool.

okay, it's not said that the 8XL is the problem then. perhaps you've got some binding in the drivetrain.?

gizzmo79 04.15.2007 02:32 PM

What is binding? I cant understand the word

Serum 04.15.2007 02:34 PM

Binding; more resistance in the drivetrain than needed.

something must be wrong. what settings are you using on the quark?

gizzmo79 04.15.2007 02:57 PM

i'm using the standar settings

gizzmo79 04.16.2007 03:43 PM

My esc is the problem, i think it took a hit on a crash.

Did you try lowering the gearing a bit? I've used both 15/51 and 16/51 and the 15T does make a difference if you are running it hard (in grass or such.) Generally I run the 15T, and put in the 16T for short runs, runs on pavement, or for pure speed.

My motor temps would get to ~170F max, but after about 45 min. of off-road dirt driving w/ the 15T. Esc sould be under 130F generally. Grass runs always heats things up much quicker.

The Neu is an awesome motor regardless, but a new pinion may be a cheaper option for a quick fix.
