Looks like a neat idea. Hopefully they can get it to go a weee bit faster. :)

Out of curiosity; how would a set of ducted fans work on a light R/C? I guess it depends on how much thrust they can generate...

Sounds like a new project! LOL!

It works well for the aircraft! Why not for a light car?

Wasn't very fast, but it sure was an interesting experiment. Should be even better with the "D" size motors. :027:

Well, I forget who's law it is exactly, but it's when air is forced through a narrower channel, it accelerates. For example, blowing air in a funnel. If you could get it to accelerate enough, then it might work. But I think I'm just babbling! ;)

I got bored one day and put a E12 rocket into a BL FLM Stampede, that turns on with the 3rd channel..

Seemed to get up to top speed a lot faster :027:

I'm not sure how large a rocket motor can be put in his chassis but twin "D"'s could make it move pretty quick.

That's pretty cool Skelbow!

Did any of you get as big of a kick out of the cameraman's voice as I did? :D

Funny, huh!

Way cooler than the dragster video, :)

After I ran my 1/10 buggy over 70mph I was talking to some buddies at the LHS about adding a booster rocket on the 3rd channel to see how much more speed it would pick up.... someday I may just do that.... :005:

Serum 04.18.2007 01:48 AM

I can't think of a better use of that 3rd channel..
