Brushless price list?

Can anyone sum up the approx. cost, and parts list to make a brushless revo?

Lets say the setup is a basher on lipos, and it needs to be a good above average setup, not to hard to build and keeping the price as good as we can... but still we want an above average setup..

I would like to build on of these but I would like to just buy all the stuff and assemble it in a weekend if thats possible.

I also don't have much on an idea the cost, I'm hoping under $800.. the more under the better. :) Then another $250 should cover the batteries and charger?

thanks.

How much it's going to cost will depend on how much of it you do yourself. Assuming that you have the truck, you can do a Mamba Max esc for 4S lipo (with the internal bec disabled) ~$129, a Feigao 8XL motor ~$80, radio ~$175 for a nice one, bec for ~$10-$40, and anything else that you don't fabricate yourself. As for the batteries, the $250 you've allocated might get you a charger and A battery, but don't forget the balancer for ~$40.

All I can tell you is to avoid throwing it together. Take your time and make sure it's done right; otherwise you're in for a lot of headaches.

That's the best question....

What do you have now to start with. Do you have a revo?

Trick440 04.17.2007 08:38 PM

Yes lets say... I have the revo, the remote, etc.... Even got 3 gas motors.:) (soon to be on ebay)

Best Bang for the buck... is what I would like, but not afriad to spend where it needs to be spent. Keep the stock chassis and whatever else.

Can also do some fabricating... I own a dremel :).

Well was hoping for a little more help today but guess not... :)

I'm thinking of going with the eaglesviewaerial setup. I have read this setup cannot take 'longer' sized motors, like the XLs. Are the Neu motors shorter? Which motor would you recommend? I would be running 4s lipos, 2s2p. Quark 125b controller.

Sorry Trick440. I'm seriously overloaded at work otherwise I'd put something together for you. Several other s here have done conversions on REVO's so I thought they would be your best resource......perhaps they will be able to respond yet today. If not I'll try & check back.

BTW....I'm guessing by your forum name that you're a MOPAR fan? What do you have?

I've owned a '70 340 Challenger Auto, '69 Charger R/T 440 w/Hemi 4-spd, and currently I co-own a '70 Challenger (originally a 440-Six Pack/4-speed/plum crazy Car before someone butchered it) dedicated to dragracing.

Thats fine I have been trying to search through threads to read up on setups. Its a slow processes, and I'm new to this so there is a learning curve on alot of the stuff I'm reading.

The setup I have found looks to be a pretty good beginer setup as far as being easy to install.

I did some research and it look like a Neu motor will fit. Sounds like I would have a pretty good setup. The price would be about $600 motor and controller, & $100 for the kit.

I would like some second opinions. and suggestions if anyone has any.

5.0, no mopar. The 440 is a honda atv (400ex) bored to a 440. Everything done to the motor, (except stroked,) and 30hp shots of nitrous. My sand dunes ride.

The NEU motor is a great one. Best "bang for the buck is a Mamba Max w/Feigao XL or a Warrior 9920 with a Feigao. Past that and you look to the Quark 125b/Neu or Quark 125b/Lehner 1940.

I'm doing the Mamba Max w/Neu 1515 with the intent of moving my Mamba Max to another car/truck when the Monster Mamba Max arrives.
