Brushless M03 Mini

I've had some fun with my new Mini the last few weeks, I put a Mamba 5700 in it and 3s lipo. Although I have one small problem. It's too much power for the little devil, the front wheels will expand and spin, losing about 40% of the speed. I belted the tyres with duct-tape, which helped but still struggling to save more.

I'm wondering if to drop down to 2s, in the hope less power will increase the speed because it won't spin as much.

Any suggestions?

I'm in the process of making a better battery mount, using some CF, Associated Cups and the Traxxas strap off a Maxx, so fear the zip ties no more! :018:

You should get a TrakPower pack with a 7700 KV motor. That's the best way, I guess.
Looks CRAZY, BTW.
This should fly.

That's a sweet ride!

To decrease speed, you could simply dial down the throttle EPA on the radio. Going to lower voltage will certainly work, but is definitely more expensive than a radio adjustment. If the tires are ballooning on acceleration, set the "traction control" in the MM ESC to very high and it will accelerate a little more slowly keeping the tire spin down somewhat.

get famies, they wont ballon at all

looks fun! i have been thinking of getting one just for the heck of it, and throw in a mm also, nice body :D LOL

The tyres I have on now are radial, the ones in the pictures ripped down the centre on the first run.

I don't think getting a 7700 would help make it go faster, the issue is with getting enough grip and staying on the ground at the moment the wheels spin too much losing a lot of the power. :(

Use Tamiya's glass tape from the inside of the tire to decrease ballooning.

I use duct-tape. Tyres don't baloon as much but they still spin loads. :D

I think it needs more weight on the front, I'm unsure. See what 2s lipo is like anyway.

For God's sake. This thing is too light for 3s and a Mamba Max setup!!!

Was asking for suggestions dude lighten up. :032:

It's fun trying new and different things, I want to challenge myself, going for some reasonable setup bores me.

I think these will help:

I'll be running a rc10l3 pan car with 10 sub-c cells and a 1920/8 to see how fast would it go....really, no kidding.:)
