Tmaxx to BL Emaxx: on a Budget.

I know, another Emaxx thread LOL

My Emaxx will be built on a budget just for those folks who don't have 300.00 to shell out on a GMaxx chassis and another 300.00 on UL suspennion etc. Those trucks are nice but not everyone has that to spend on an RC truck. So I figured I would build a small afordable budget Emaxx that can take a beating and will be easy to work on. I'll list prats and price later on and see how cheap it actually comes out to. Just keep in mind half my parts aren't name brands so I may have trouble posting a manufacture's name. Now first off I started out with a pretty much stock Tmaxx with a new OS.18 motor. I stripped down the Tmaxx and sold a few parts to help off set my cost. I got 40.00 for the Tmaxx gear box and 105.00 for the Nitro motor. I still have a misc stack of parts left to sell.

Tmaxx: used.............................................. .................. 100.00
Emaxx gear box: Used w/single speed, and 1/8 scale slipper...70.00
Emaxx chassis: ebay, new............................................... 21.99
Aluminum Bulks : off brand w/hing pins .............................. 22.99 each set
Aluminum shock towers: ................................................. 49.00
Aluminum diff cups : Ebay, seller is Novarc I believe.............. 20.00 each
MIP center CVDs: had issues with off brands fiitting right.......49.99
RDLogic CVDs: Ebay, they work real well on son's emaxx....... 37.99
RDLogic Aluminum Hex hubs............................................. 10.00
Hex screw kit: left over screws from son's Emaxx..................Freebie
Aluminum frame brace: ebay, something cheap.................... 23.00
Aluminum center skid: ebay.............................................. 6.00
Hard Aluminum ft/r skids: ebay...........................................
HV Novak BL: unknown size motor....................................... 299.00
RX/TX: Stock............................................. ..................... Freebie
4200 mah : ebay, All-Batteries, shink wrap before using.......... 49.00
---------------------------------------------------------------------
Sub Total............................................. .......................... 803.00
Subtract sold tmaxx parts so fair,...................................... - 658.00

It's not looking like much of a budget so fair lol

Pictures...comming soon.

Thanks

Just waiting on some misc parts and she'll be ready. Then I'll start my Revo convertion ;) Well I've already started it I guess, it's stripped down and I'm working on a battery tray. I also got one of Mike's motor brackets.

Pretty much done now just need a pinion gear...can't believe I forgot to order one :o Anyhow, here is what it looks like with the Novak. This truck was the first time I've completely built up at one time. I've worked on everything seperately but never everything at one time. It took a good chunk of time to do but it sure was fun.

Very nice job!! You may want to adjust your turnbuckles a little, lol, but other than that... it looks good, and should be fun.

Thanks :018:

She was tons of fun to build. I can just imagine what it's like to build a GMaxx. Anyhow, you're right about the turnbuckles. She needs some all around adjusting for sure.
