Quark capacitor voltage??
Does anyone know the voltage rating on the Quark 125B capacitors??
How is the S&T warranty service?? Is it hard to get a replacement unit from those guys? Thank you Daf |
Daf;
Niels had a broken quark 125, he only needed to sent them an email and it was set. they shipped a new one right away. IIRC, the caps are 25V. You smoked one? |
I thought someone said they were 35V, not for sure where, but if i find it i'll link it

Nope, they are 35v. I looked when mine was open. 25v would be useless I think, they would just pop.
|
Yeah, they are 35v. I remember that when I did the internal epoxy mod a loooong time ago.
|
Yah, did you kill a cap. in it? I DID! :019:
Check my other thread. |
No, I've never broken any ESC - yet.

I would probably cry if I broke an ESC.
Funny you should mention about the blown capacitors though, ZPB just had one of them on his Quark blow... |

Let this day be known, be known to be a cursed day! :010:

I've blown two ESC's in my "RC career." I blew an EVX after a few runs, which got replaced for free. Then, somewhat recently, I blew my HV ESC doing speed runs with my HV4.5. ESC got replaced for free - and now I'm upgrading to a MM (MMM when it comes out) and a 1950 :D
|
LOL, I blew something as well, but not really R/C related. I had built a variable loading circuit and wanted to test the power-dissipating properties of the heatsink. Wellll, let's just say that a TIP3055 transistor (rated for 10A) cannot pass 25A. :) Literally blew a hole in the casing of the device. But I didn't care since I was just playing around and half-expected that.

that's some funny stuff brian.
i also broke 2 mm's a while ago. |
