Goodjumping Set Up For Revo
Hi guys my revo has the tendency sometime to jump with rear end down in a situation that i was trying to clear up a long second hump, the rest of the other jumps are fine ,any suggestions are very much apppreciated,i do have a stiffer spring on the rear, but maybe not stiff enough?
|
Just tap the brakes mid air to clear it up.
My E-Revo jumps perfectly level 99% of the time, but every once in a while it gets a little tweak and I have to correct. |
Do you mean the rear gives a donkey-kick when it landed? i've seen this on other revo's. I think the shock locks up because of the rather small holes in the pistons. larger holes and thicker oil would help. the shocks lock up on the compressed oil that is pushed thru the small holes. It can't absorb the jump, so it just bounces. thinner oil would help too..
Don't know if this is your question/problem though? |
you could try less pack in the rear to speed up the rebound(bigger piston holes). If you're happy with it in most situations though you could just leave it and deal with it from the transmitter.
edit;hey, cross post, spooky,i was thinking he meant the rear was staying packed down on the face of the jump. |
so i dont need to use stiffer sping to prevent the rear to go down while jumping bec ithought using a stiffer spring in th rear will make the truck the tendency to nose dive
|
does it donkey kick at landing? need more info..
|
What is donkey kick?
|
if i understand its when it kicks up the rear end after landing.
|
it is when it is about to approach the jump, I full throttle then when it jumps into the air, the rear end is down more like in wheely position then it lands with rear tires first unlike what BP-Revo said his truck jumps in level position and lands in level both front and rear tires ,I'm thinking of putting stiffer spring on the rear to counteract it.Hope I 'm explaining it better
|
normally you shouldnt gun it in the air or on aproach.:p
|
Nope, go for a 50 percent throttle 'in air' on the speed you are approaching the jump, that way it should stay flat.

Just work on your mid-air throttle skills and you'll be fine.

thanks guys
