1950/6 Speed?
I hear a lot of speed numbers thrown around when referring to the 1950/6.
Some say as little as 35, some say 45 or even 50. Can I assume that a 1950/6 on 4S FlightPower 4900's in a 9.5lb G2R will go 45mph without a problem? |
I think 30-35 is more like it for 4s setups.you probably could hit 45 though.
i've been thinking about trying this motor too. |
35mph? I would have thought that motor could do alot faster than that... at least 45mph? It is the same KV as the 7XL and has more torque, i think.

Yea, thats what I thought.
Serum said like 35 in a Savage...and I'm sure my G2R is a hell of a lot lighter... Anyone else have any thoughts? |
You should be able to do 40 with no issue on 4s and that motor. If you want to go for crazy speed runs add a cell and run 5s. That motor will run on 5s all day. I run the 1940/7 wich is very siilar kv rating on 5s all the time and have no problem at all with it.
Also, anyone know why the rc-monster store and the lehner site list different kv ratings for the 1950 motors???? 2178kv on RC-MONSTER and 2090kv on Lehner site??? BTW: I'm in th same boat as you... waitng for the Lehners to show up. I'm trying to decide between the 1950/6 and 1950/7. My plan is to run on 5s most of the time. If I go with the 7 turn I could potentailly run 6s for some really crazy speed runs. Decisions.... Decisions.... I keep going back and forth in my mind I guess what I wind up with will depend on what is in my mind when the motors show up in stock, cuz I'll be ordering it imeadiatly. |
Well, I'm going with the hi-amp (don't wanna deal with the stupid 3.5mm connectors). I'll probably be running 4S since my truck IS a track machine. I'll keep a set of 5S for making the nitro guys cry :)

45 mph would be no problem. even 50mph is doable.
