Diff Upgrades?

K I need to upgrade my axles first. So Im going to get 3.3 axles and 3.3 centers. Now what diffs? I cant go with 1/8 diffs cause I already have the traxxas rear bulkhead. So I need cases and cups. Then I could also get 3.3 diffs? Would that be reliable?

Best diffs you can get for a fair amount of money is the 3.3 housings and some FLM cups. Use the stock gears instead of the robinsons.

Integy housings would work too, but the 3.3 housings are good to go, since they have got a 4 instead of a 2 screw design.

Doesnt the flm diff cup come with the gears? On the site it does. $30 And what would be another option for the housings?

You can also get the FLM hybrid diff housings... but then you have to run 1/8 diffs as well. But with this set up, it will be able to take any amount of power you give it.

since he mentions the traxxas rear bulk, i don't think changing the bulks was his idea?

dose the hot bodies diff fit the e-maxx's stock case? is it stonger?

Serum 06.07.2007 02:23 PM

Welcome to the forum pwrpony.. (cool name btw.. :)

the HB diffs only fit 1/8th housings, such as the FLM hybrids or the UE's.

thanks serum, dose the flm hybrids fit the e-maxx?

pwrpony 06.07.2007 07:30 PM

ok,i see that the hybrids are bulkheads and if you get this the hb 1/8 diff fits. any other mods?
