Goin' Dual Mamba Max 6900 in E-Maxx
Will have this project finished in a few days as soon as second Mamba 6900 system comes in.
|
That does sound cool, but why? A single XL can motor will do the same thing, if not more on less juice.
|
Y not?:)
|
Welcome to the forum!
because a single XL motor is cheaper, stronger and more efficient. Nice Tonka you've got there.. |

one single XL will outpreform a dual 6900 Johnny!
|
Yeah, and will be cheaper and lighter too.

Welcome Gandalff!
Hope the two "sync" well for you. That would be my major concern. Two motors fighting each other would be hard on equipment & run times. |
With two controllers you don't need to worry about being out of sync Barry. Unless they are turning in opposite directions.
|
Are you sure serum? Both controllers would need exactly the same programming files at a minimum or they would in fact "fight" each other even if only minimally.
|
It's a rather smooth motion, the turning; one low RPMs it might affect on or the other, but it's not as essential to have a perfect timing as with 2 motors on 1 controllers. The MM (or any brushless controller suited for our applications) uses software that enables it to turn from a minimal amount of RPM's. The MM is the slowest turning esc i know. still more than a ~120rpm start though. (guess)
They are not fighting eachother, since you have got inertia from the magnet. They are not endless fast in response to the magnetic field that powers the rotor. |
Same programming goes without saying.
Opposite directions would be an interesting experiment :) |
I'll get the camera Daf.. Hang on..
|
I'd pay for the spur, and make it a steel one :)... but who donates the motors and ESC?? :027:
LOL don't forget the dual eagletrees Sorry for the Hijack, Mithrandir. |
Dual Eagle tree's! Perfect! Would love to see the current graph after that one!
