High density Nylon stuff?
Sorry, my brain fell out (again) and I cant seem to find the E-Revo thread where it was mentioned/used to make battery trays. Whats it called again & where can it be bought online? Not for myself but a guy on another forum doing a Revo conversion.
And which Revo conversion thread was it used in again....:007: cursed poor memory. |

Ah bensf, I see you have joined the darkside.
Here's a link to a an E-revo conversion that uses that UHMW stuff:- http://www.rc-monster.com/forum/showthread.php?t=3759 I believe that has the dimensions you are after. |
I've been over here for a while, just haven't been posting much.

Fair enough. You'll like it here, everyones so friendly and helpful, and extremely knowledgable.

Hey, that thar be me :) I'm using similar stuff on my V2 as I was so satisified w/ it on v1. LMK if you have any ?'s
FYI, I made some errors in the specs on the 1st post, which couldn't edit, so were updated further down. The density is ~.9g/cc (floats) and is not quite half the weight of CF. However 1/8" material is a bit too flexible to be used as batt trays, 1/4" is much stiffer. IE, you end up with a thicker tray than CF, but about same weight, easy to work with and highly affordable. You could do some stragetic shaving to bring it down, but I never bothered. I have a 1/8" strip that works extremely well as a roll hoop tho bc of the flexibilty. |
