I got this st in a trade. I picked up a mamba max 7700 setup and figured I'd sell the motor and get a diff one more suited for my needs. The 7700 is ok but would like to get more speed from it. I'm currently running 18/90 for gearing on a 2s lipo from max amps. It gets warm but not hot. I don't want to overheat it either. What would you suggest gearing wise or is anyone looking for 1 of these motors and would want to trade for 1 better suited for my needs?

From what you're saying it's not running hot as it is. Go ahead and try gearing it up - but watch your temps as you go. Pinions are relatively inexpensive so you can get a few to try out. I don't have a motor to trade you but I do like your pit mat. :027:

Thanks. The wife wasn't too happy about it but my matts always look festiv! lol My valentines 1 is better.
I'm gonna play with the gearing a bit. Hope to try a 20 today after batt is done charging. I have a few diff pinions and spurs to play with but was hoping to find someone who had already run this setup and could get me to the sweetspot quicker.
