Pretty sure I am going 3.3, What about the centers?

Hey guys, I have a few clarifications.
1.) To do the 3.3 conversion I need the Revo 3.3 Driveshafts, Carriers, and Turnbuckles.
2.) What do I use for the center shafts? Are there any 3.3 parts for that?

You can use revo center but will need to modifiy you chassis to fit. Better yet get some dogbones from Mike. You'll need to specify chassis length.

What modification is required? If I go the dogbone route, where can I get those setup?

I dont have the G-Maxx chassis. I was not looking to spend that much money, could you tell me what is required to fit the revo shafts in the center?

Thanks for your efforts!

Check out this thread it should contain all the info:

Thanks for the link, I read that thread earlier. I will most likely pick up the revo center shafts and try to get them installed to see if I can do it.

Thanks for the great help guys.

P.S. I ordered the 3.3 Revo Outer Shafts, Carriers with bearings, and Turnbuckles. Came to about $65 shipped, all brand new.

Just use the Revo centers. Tough and cheap.
You will have to trim up the chassis a little. :027:

Yeah, I got them installed today. Wasn't very hard to get them installed, just needed a good amount of dremeling by the transmission.

Yeah, I believe mine are the newer type of arms.

Updated arms or a dremel... I did post a few pics of where you need to remove a bit of material from the insides of the A-arms for shaft clearence- though some people say they didnt need too ( Im guessing they have the suspension set very low, so the arms are parallel to the shafts).

Edit: Never mind...

already spun mine out. The 3.3's centers are not strong enough to handle the brushless power.

Really, wow. That must be some set up to do that. The only upgrade fomr that would be some 'proper' dogbones & cups.

Mamba Max 5700 and 3S. Brushless is just insane power.
