Pull the servo horn off and see if it still does that action unloaded. If it does, the there's something up with the tx, rx, or servo. If it doesn't, then the problem is mechanical.

ya it does not. i already checked for that though and realized it is just something with the mechanical part... i kinda fixed it for now. lol i just have no breaks. i ordered a complete thriottle thingy on ebay

hopefully that will fix the problem. but for now the problem is fixed and the truck is running SWEET!! i just have no brakes! ahah

I couldn't see if that was a digital servo or not. How much spring do you have on the brake return.

It's been a while since I ran a non digital servo or nitro, so I don't remember. Try this out. With everything turned on and the Tx in neutral position, see if you can move the servo horn. If you can, it might be pulling the throttle open when you move the throttle to neutral position after braking, due to excessive return spring on the brake.

I like digital servos because they are always seeking center when the throttle is in the neutral position, but this is also why digital servos also eat more juice.

All servos, digital and analog, try to find center in neutral. The only difference between the two is the speed at which the feedback potentiometer is used to correct the servo position. That is what causes the increase in power consumption.

@t-maxxracer32: Well, at least you narrowed it down to a mechanical problem. I would slowly actuate the servo horn manually to see what would be causing the problem. And take a look at the return spring that AAngel suggested. If it is stronger than the servo power, it will overpower the servo.

ya i can move the horn without moving the servo. that is another reason why i bought that little kit off ebay. also i have no spring leeway lol... that I think is the problem. i gave it some slack a diff way. that is why i say i kinda have it all ghetto. give it a couple days till the stuff comes and then it will run awsome!

also what are some signs that it is running too lean and too rich. the truck is acting strange.

Let me get this straight: you can move the servo horn, but not the servo, when the horn is attached to the servo? If so, it sounds like either the servo horn is not made for that brand servo, the horn teeth are stripped, or the internal servo gears are stripped.

BTW: When I said to manually move the horn, I meant to do it with the servo mechanically disconnected. Moving the servo can cause damage to the gears.

yes i know that. i do not force it to move. if it seemed tight i would not move it. and yes you are correct because the servo horn is not meant for the servo it was just a temp use. thats why i ordered the new one lol

WAHOO!!! got the part in and i had a little trouble but after messing with it for a bit the truck is running AWSOMEEEE!!!! damn that thing is QUICK!!
